Through the analysis by the company, it was found that camping gear has been rising strongly. The rise in campings is due to an increase in home-grown trips and the experience of outdoor life among the youth. As a result, this has led to a near quadrupling of sales of tents and sleeping bags in the past few years. Moreover, there is also a trend developing in which more people are buying camping gear online rather than from offline retail outlets.

The bicycle retailer Halfords has reported similar results. Even though sales of bicycles have been stagnant, sales of other bicycle-related goods such as cycling clothing and accessories have been rising. This can be attributed to rising interest in cycling as a sport among women and girls.

Moreover, the confectionery group Cadbury has reported strong sales of its chocolate and other confectionery, as British chocolates and sweets have become popular tourist items in the global market.
